“Another fun fact: one of the cathedral’s bells (the Pummerin) was originally cast from the metal pilfered from cannons of the invaders. It fell and broke at one point and had to be recast unfortunately. Iirc it only gets rung to welcome a new year, exactly at midnight (but maybe there’s other special occasions that I don’t know about).”
